Trustee Information
In this section, you can find information about the members of the SIPS Trustee Board.
Hadrian Trustees Limited (HTL) is a company limited by guarantee, whose members are the Independent Participating Employers (IPEs) of SIPS. The Trustee holds all the assets of the Scheme on behalf of the members, pensioners and other beneficiaries in a Trust Fund, which is entirely separate from the assets of all the participating employers.
Trustee's Role
The role of the Trustee Directors is to administer the Scheme (e.g. maintain member records, collect contributions and pay benefits), to manage the investments of the Scheme´s funds, and to ensure that the assets of the Scheme are sufficient to meet its liabilities.
The Trustee has appointed Capita Hartshead to carry out its administrative responsibilities and external investment managers to manage the Scheme´s investments.
The Trustee must act in accordance with the Scheme´s Trust Deed and Rules — the formal documents that govern the operation of the Scheme. In addition, the Trustee Directors have an obligation to act, where possible, in the best interests of members and beneficiaries.
