Joining SIPS
Why should I join?
You should consider joining SIPS as the Scheme provides you and your family with valuable benefits, both when you are employed by a participating employer, and after you retire.
In many cases, you can choose the level of benefit that suits your circumstances. For example, you can pay a lower level of contribution and receive a lower level of benefits at retirement, or you can get a higher level of benefits at retirement by paying more to SIPS.
As well as benefiting from employer contributions, which you would not benefit from if you joined certain other arrangements (e.g. a personal pension plan), your employer pays the administrative costs of the Scheme.
